WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Pursuing the sweep of its three-game, conference-opening series at William & Mary on Sunday, the Northeastern baseball team was unable to hold onto its early, 3-1 lead at Plumeri Park as the Tribe scored a surge of runs during the middle innings to run away with the 15-4 victory.

Northeastern (12-11, 2-1 CAA) responded to Hunter Smith's first-inning solo homer by swinging four consecutive singles during the second inning against Zach Tsakounis.
Jeff Costello led off the inning with his first of two hits during the day, later scoring on
Ryan Solomon's RBI single that tied the game at 1-1.
Â
Ian Fair put the Huskies in front for the first time during the third inning, teeing off on his fourth home run of the season – a solo shot – to give NU the 2-1 advantage. Three batters later, Costello pummeled a double to left field before scoring during
Cam Walsh's ensuing RBI single that made its way through the left side of the infield.
Â
William & Mary (15-6, 1-2 CAA) flipped its two-run deficit to a two-run lead during the bottom of the third inning. The Tribe loaded the bases after being issued three walks by
