RICHMOND, Va.– A pair of Northeastern men's basketball players earned Colonial Athletic Association postseason honors as announced by the conference Friday afternoon.

For the second-straight season, Vasa Pusica has been named to the All-CAA First Team while Northeastern newcomer Jordan Roland earned All-CAA Third Team honors. It also marks the fifth-straight season a Northeastern player has earned first team honors.

Pusica becomes the eighth ever Husky to earn multiple First-Team All-Conference honors and just the third during the CAA era, while 2019 marks the sixth time since Northeastern joined the CAA that multiple Huskies have earned All-Conference honors.

Pusica finished the conference season ranking fourth in the CAA in scoring (19.1 ppg), fifth in assists (3.9 apg) and third in steals (1.6 spg). He was also among the league's top-15 in field goal (.532), 3-point FG (.396) and free throw (.839) percentage in CAA play.

The senior guard scored 20 or more points 10 times on the year, with eight of those coming in conference action, and finished the regular season by tallying double figures in 18 straight games, including each and every CAA game he took part in.

Roland, in his first season in a Northeastern uniform, ended conference action with a 14.5 ppg average, second among the Huskies and 16thin CAA play. Fifty-one of his 87 3FGs on the year came during the conference season, including a career-high eight at James Madison. One of the top free throw shooters in the country, Roland finished the CAA year third, connecting on 87.8 percent from the charity stripe while making 1.3 spg in conference play, sixth best in the league.

The All-Conference honor is the first of Roland's career, after transferring to Northeastern following two seasons at George Washington.

The Huskies will begin their CAA Tournament play on Sunday night at 6 p.m. when they take on the winner of the #7 Elon/#10 UNCW First Round game at the North Charleston Coliseum. The game can be found at CAA.TV.
