The non-conference slate includes a pair of road games at Union before the Huskies will face Holy Cross at home and traveling to the 2019 NCAA Tournament overall first seed St. Cloud State for a road set.

After a stretch of in-conference games, Northeastern will head to Belfast, Northern Ireland for the fifth annual Friendship Four in on Nov. 29-30. There, they will take on New Hampshire in a league game on the first day before facing either Colgate or Princeton on day two. The Huskies previously participated in the inaugural Friendship Four in 2015, which Madigan identified as a turning point for the team that season as they went on to win the Hockey East Championship.

Heading back stateside, the team will play home games against Dartmouth and Bentley before closing out the non-conference slate with the 68th annual Beanpot at TD Garden on the first two Mondays in February. The Huskies will be looking to three-peat in the tournament for the first time in history after securing their second-straight title during the 2018-19 season, opening with a first-round matchup against 2019 NCAA Tournament participant Harvard.

In conference play, Northeastern will take on Hockey East rivals Massachusetts, Providence, Maine, and Boston University three times, with remaining teams Merrimack, New Hampshire, Connecticut, UMass Lowell, Boston College, and Vermont matching up with the Huskies twice each. New Hampshire and Vermont will be the only conference teams not to play in Matthews Arena throughout the season.

The Howlin' Huskies are coming off of one of the best seasons in program history, boasting an all-time program record of 27 wins as part of a 27-11-1 record as goaltender Cayden Primeau won the Mike Richter award as the best goaltender in college hockey, the first Husky to do so in team history.  Northeastern won a second-straight Beanpot, a Hockey East Championship, and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year and third time in the last four seasons.
