BROOKLINE, Mass.— The Northeastern men's soccer team entered halftime down, 2-0, but the Huskies scored four goals in the second half to claim a 4-2 win over CAA foe College of Charleston and stretch their unbeaten streak to five matches.

Northeastern (4-2-1, 2-0-1 CAA) entered halftime down 2-0 after the Cougars (1-5-1, 0-2-0 CAA) found the goal twice in the first half. Jake Nicholson had the first goal of the evening in the 25th minute and Tucker Heffron added on the second in the 35th minute.

The Huskies came out of halftime firing as Benjamin Klingen found the back of the net for his third goal of the season in the 56th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. Klingen found the ball on the right side of the box and was able to use some fancy footwork to slot the ball past Charleston's goalie on the far-left side.

Liam Murphy claimed the first goal of his collegiate career just eight minutes after Klingen in the 62nd minute to tie things up at 2-2. Murphy fired one through to goal after an assist from Ryan Massoud.

For the Huskies decisive third goal of the evening, Murphy played the ball through, searching for Massoud, but a Charleston player knocked it into his own goal in the 66th minute to give the Huskies a 3-2 lead.

Jacques Baldwin, scored the fourth and final goal of the evening in the 76th minute on a breakaway play for the first goal of collegiate career. His goal was assisted by Grant Elgin, who claimed his second assist of the season.

Goalkeeper Chandler Cree claimed his second win of the season, with three saves in 90 minutes of action.

The four goals in the second half are the most goals in a game under head coach Chris Gbandi and the most goals since Sept. 7, 2013 against Fairfield where the Huskies scored five goals. The five-match unbeaten streak is the longest since Oct. 27, 2012, the final contest of a 12-match unbeaten streak.
