Men's Soccer Begins Conference Play

BOSTON, Mass. - The Northeastern men's soccer team begins its conference play on Sunday, Sept. 6 against Stony Brook at 6 p.m. from Parsons Field in Brookline, Mass. The Huskies are coming off a road game tie with Siena University.  

This game will be the student home opener for Northeastern, as students start the fall semester the following Wednesday, Sept. 9.  

THREE THINGS TO KNOW: 

  1. THE SEAWOLVES: Stony Brook is entering this game with a 0-0-3 record on the year, tying Marist, Sacred Heart, and No. 13 Hofstra.  

  1. COOKING KOÇ: Freshman midfielder Kortay Koç currently leads the team with four goals. Koç is coming off a two-goal game against Siena and started the season with a two-goal game against Holy Cross. 

  1. HUNTING HUSKIES: this will be the 14th all-time meeting between Northeastern and Stony Brook, with the Seawolves winning last year's match 3-0. Northeastern last beat Stony Brook in 2022.  

After opening conference play, the Huskies will return to action, traveling to Philadelphia, Pa to take on Drexel on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. followed by a home game against Central Connecticut State on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. from Parson Field.
