LAST TIME OUT
Before having a week off from gameplay, Northeastern fell to Connecticut 3-2 in a hard-fought overtime thriller.
Grant Jozefek led the Huskies with a two-goal game and helped the team recover after being down 1-0 in the first period.
Craig Pantano remained strong in between the pipes, registering a season-high 41 saves for the Huskies. After three periods, the teams were tied at 2-2 and headed into overtime where UConn finalized the game with a goal with 2:49 left in extra time.
HUSKIES VS. FRIARS
The last time Northeastern and Providence faced off was back in November where the teams split a home-and-home series. The Huskies dropped a close one in the first game 3-2, but came back with a strong 7-3 win over the Friars at home to close out the series. The seven goals by the Huskies were the most by one time in the series since 1996.
