Hockey East Announces Schedule Updates for Women's Hockey

BOSTON – Hockey East announced schedule changes for women's hockey, which includes No. 2 Northeastern opening on Dec. 4-5. The home opener for the second-ranked Huskies will be on Saturday, Dec. 5, and will be televised on NESN inside Matthews Arena at 2 p.m.

The Huskies are the preseason favorites to win their third straight Hockey East regular-season title and are looking for their fourth consecutive tournament championship. Northeastern won an NCAA-best 32 games in 2019-20 and finished Hockey East with 48 points (24-3 record), nine ahead of second-place Boston University. Northeastern moved up one spot in the national rankings to No. 2, matching its highest-ever ranking in the USCHO.com Poll and received four first-place votes (Nov. 23 Poll).

Fans will not be permitted inside Matthews Arena for the remainder of 2020. Don't forget to show your Howlin' Huskies pride all season long by purchasing and submitting a photo of yourself, family members, friends or event pets! Single cutouts are available for purchase at $50 while a family four-pack is available at the discounted price of $150. Proceeds from the cutouts will support all Northeastern University student-athletes through the Howlin' Huskies Fund.
