RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) announced Thursday a set of schedule changes affecting the Northeastern women's basketball team after positive COVID-19 cases were identified this week in the College of Charleston and Elon programs.

With the new schedule, Northeastern will now host two CAA regular season games against Delaware at Cabot Center on Monday, Jan. 4, and Tuesday, Jan. 5. Both games are scheduled to start at 1 p.m. and will air on NESN. Under current university protocols and policies, fans will not be permitted in attendance at Cabot Center.

Per the CAA, the added Delaware-Northeastern contests will both count towards the conference standings, as will the teams' previously scheduled two-game series on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 at the Blue Hens' Bob Carpenter Center in Newark.

Thursday's announcement follows the same-day postponement of two CAA games between College of Charleston and Delaware after a positive COVID-19 case was discovered in the Charleston program. On Wednesday, the CAA had postponed Northeastern's two league-opening games at Elon due to a positive COVID-19 case within the Elon program.

The Huskies are scheduled to continue their CAA regular season campaign with a home-and-home series against Hofstra on Thursday, Jan. 7 (home), and Saturday, Jan. 9 (away).
