THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- Last time out: Amy Piccolo set a school record in the 1000m with a time of 2:50.02 and David Adams posted personal bests in the 200m and 400m to lead the Northeastern men's and women's track and field team at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational. Khamil Evans posted a season-best time of 25.11 in the 200m. Matthew Schaefer set a PR in the 5000m (14:34.05) by over 20 seconds.
- USATF New England Indoor Championships: The last time that the Huskies competed at the USATF-NE Championships was the 2017-2018 indoor season. Naukym Morton and Donatien Djero, members of the men's track and field team, both competed in the 60-meter dash. Morton placed first in the event with a time of 6.74 while Djero took home third with his indoor personal best at the time (6.77).
- Brandon Moorer's Story: Senior captain and sprinter, Brandon Moorer is featured on season two, episode four of the Tales of the Howlin' Huskies. Moorer shares an emotional narrative in which he faced mental and physical challenges while recovering from a devastating injury that he suffered in his senior year of high school. While the recovery left him doubting more than his return to competition, Moorer has since experienced success during his career at Northeastern. He was a part of two different 4x400 meter relay teams that currently hold the first, second and seventh place rankings on the All-Time Top 10 list. Moorer's episode can be watched here.Â
