BOSTON – Northeastern women's track & field rising sophomore Lola Satre Morales was recognized by the National Athletics Sports Federation in Guatemala for her record-breaking performance in the 800-meter run during her freshman season with the Huskies.

Earlier this season at the Raleigh Relays, Satre Morales broke the Guatemalan national record in the 800-meter with a time of 2:08.17, earning herself an invitation to the Olympic Stadium in Guatemala City.

The event featured authorities from the National Athletic Sports Federation, representatives of the Guatemala Autonomous Sports Confederation (CDAG), the Guatemala Olympic Committee (COG), relatives of Satre Morales and Northeastern assistant coach John Murray, who accompanied her for the significant moment.

The unveiling reaffirms the Federation's commitment to preserving and recognizing the legacy of those who, with their talent, effort and dedication, have left an indelible mark on national athletics, inspiring new generations to continue pursuing sporting excellence.
