BOSTON – Looking to salvage a split of its CAA weekend in the Carolinas, the Northeastern women's basketball team will make its way south to College of Charleston on Sunday, March 1, for an afternoon affair against the Cougars at TD Arena. Sunday's game will air live on FloHoops with coverage beginning at 1 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1.
Series Edge:Â Northeastern improved its series winning streak against College of Charleston to nine consecutive games upon defeating the Cougars, 72-68, at Cabot Center on Jan. 31. The Huskies are seeking their fifth straight regular season sweep of Charleston and their fifth straight victory at TD Arena. NU leads the all-time series, 10-3.

2.
Friday Takeaways:Â Rookie guard
Mossi Staples compiled 12 points and led Northeastern in scoring for the first time during her freshman campaign despite the Huskies playing to the 61-48 defeat at UNCW. After surrendering the first four points of the game to the Seahawks, the Huskies rallied to force 14 first-half turnovers, closing within 24-19 by halftime. However, UNCW started the second half with an 8-2 scoring run, commanding a double-digit advantage through the majority of the second half.
Kendall Currence recorded 10 points off the bench while
Ayanna Dublin paired 10 points with seven rebounds out of the NU starting five. UNCW doubled up Northeastern at the foul line, 20-10.

3.
Race for CAA Seeding:Â Northeastern (8-8 CAA) heads into Sunday ranked in sole possession of fifth place in the CAA standings. The Huskies can earn as high as the No. 4 seed in the 2020 CAA tournament and as low as the No. 8 seed, but can clinch the program's fifth consecutive bye to the league quarterfinals with a win on Sunday against Charleston.
