BOSTON – Celebrating the 34th annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day, the Northeastern women's basketball team will look to return to winning form on Sunday, Feb. 9, when the Huskies cross paths with the CAA leader, Drexel, at Cabot Center. Sunday's game will air live on NESNplus with coverage starting at 2 p.m. All CAA regular season games are also available to watch outside New England on FloHoops.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Round One:  Northeastern set a season-best mark for field goal percentage defense (29 percent) when the Huskies visited Drexel on Jan. 10. Alexis Hill, Ayanna Dublin and Katie May combined to yield 26 of Northeastern's 39 rebounds as NU sported the +10 edge on the glass and the +6 advantage in points in the paint. However, Drexel managed to outgain the Huskies, 17-1, at the free throw line. NU successfully kept the defending CAA Player of the Year, Bailey Greenberg, in check, holding the Drexel forward to six points on two-for-11 shooting.

2. Friday Takeaways:  Northeastern witnessed its seven-game home court winning streak come to an end on Friday as the Huskies played to the 81-69 defeat against Delaware. Freshman forward Mide Oriyomi led NU in scoring for the second time this season, registering 11 points while fellow underclassmen Kendall Currence and Mossi Staples recorded a pair of 10-point outings. Together, the Northeastern bench accounted for more than half of the team's offensive production (37 points). The Huskies closed within seven points of the Blue Hens during the fourth quarter, but left eight free throws at the line during their comeback bid.

3. Résumé Builders:  The Huskies enter Sunday's game with the fourth highest RPI among CAA programs (No. 137). Northeastern also ranks No. 43 in non-conference strength of schedule, as five of its first six opponents of the 2019-20 season rank today among the top 70 RPI positions. NU is seeking its third consecutive national postseason berth during 2020, having last done so between 1982 and 1984.
