Northeastern Closes Out Florida Swing at FAU

BOSTON - Northeastern (7-4) will travel to Boca Raton, Fla. to close out its Florida trip this weekend for a three-game series with Florida Atlantic (8-4) this Friday-Sunday. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and all the games will be streamed on CUSA.TV.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Owls lead the all-time series over the Huskies, 19-5-1. Northeastern has dropped 11 straight against FAU, last defeating the Owls, 7-3, on March 27, 1995. FAU swept NU last season in three close games, 7-4, 9-6 and 2-1.

MATCHUP
The Huskies have won seven of their last eight games heading into the weekend at FAU. Northeastern finished the Snowbird Classic 4-1, and hit .341 with starting pitchers posting a 2.24 ERA in the four wins. FAU overpowered No. 6 Miami (FL) on Wednesday night 11-2 and all four of its loses this season are to top-10 opponents (No. 1 Florida, 7-3; No. 2 Texas Tech, 7-1; No. 9 Florida State, 16-6 and 5-1). The Owls swept CAA foe Delaware to open the season (8-4, 9-5, 8-2 [5 innings]).

HITTING STREAKS
Sophomores Jared Dupere and Corey DiLoreto have both reached base safely in every game this season for the Huskies. Dupere, a native of Amesbury, Mass., leads the way with an 11-game hitting streak and ranks third in CAA with a .413 batting average. DiLoreto, a native of Reading, Mass., is third in the league with three home runs and is riding a 10-game hitting streak.
