MANITOBA MOOSE RELEASE
BOSTON -Â Â Northeastern forward
Biagio Lerario has signed a contract with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, announced by the organization on Tuesday. Lerario brought toughness and energy every night and was named an assistant captain midway through this season for his hard work and leadership on and off the ice. He had 12 goals and 17 assists during his 122 games at Northeastern.
"I'm extremely happy and pleased for Biagio to get the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream of playing professional hockey," Fernie Flaman Head Men's Hockey Coach
Jim Madigan said. "Biagio has turned himself into a reliable two-way center with a high compete level. We thank him for his contributions to Northeastern hockey and wish him all the best in the next chapter of his hockey career."

The Winnipeg Jets organization product is part of the second winningest class in Northeastern history, helping the team win three consecutive Beanpot Championships for the first time in program history. The Illinois native also helped the Huskies with a Hockey East Championship, two NCAA appearances and win their first ever Belpot.
Eight former Huskies have seen time in the NHL this season with six being on opening night rosters.
