DUISBURG, Germany -
Northeastern's Anna Kracklauer will compete at the 2020 European Rowing Under-23 Championships on Sept. 5-6 for the German National Team, announced by head coach Joe Wilhelm on Friday. Kracklauer, a native of Ulm, Germany, is a rising junior for the Huskies and helped Northeastern capture its sixth consecutive Colonial Athletic Association Rowing Championship in 2019.

Kracklauer will be among 18 other athletes selected to compete at the 2020 European Rowing U23 Championships. After training with her younger sister, Chiara, in Ulm, Germany, she traveled to Frankfurt on July 4 where the German National Team coaches held erg tests and Kracklauer was able to pull in her best 2k results. After competing against some of the top crews from Germany and Austria in Linz on July 12, the duo was invited to compete in both the pair and the four at a regatta in Hamburg on July 24-25. After a successful summer of racing, the Anna and Chiara will be racing in the 4+.

Live streaming will be available on event page, link above.
