BOSTON – Taking a temporary step outside CAA play, the Northeastern women's basketball team will resume its regular season schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 19, when the Huskies make a non-conference road appearance against Manhattan at Draddy Gymnasium. Tuesday's game will air live on ESPN+ with coverage beginning at 2 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Huskies in the Big Apple:  Northeastern will be contesting its first-ever away game at Manhattan, having crossed paths with the Jaspers on one prior occasion in Boston. In December 1985, the Huskies recorded the 65-45 victory against Manhattan during the opening round of the Northeastern Classic at Cabot Center (though the result was later reversed by forfeiture). NU is seeking its second consecutive victory in the New York metro after successfully taking down Hofstra, 54-53, on Jan. 9 to salvage a split of the programs' CAA weekend.

2. The Waiting Game:  With schedule adversity all-too common this season across the college basketball landscape, Northeastern and Manhattan both head into Tuesday's tilt riding week-or-longer windows between regular season games. After receiving an unexpected bye week from CAA play last weekend, the Huskies will be 10 days removed from the end of their demanding four-game, six-day stretch – capped in victory at Hofstra. To a similar degree, schedule disruptions caused the Jaspers to miss their two most recent MAAC games, leaving Manhattan nine days removed from its last outing when it takes the floor on Tuesday.

3. Overachieving Underclassman:  Sophomore forward Mide Oriyomi continues to drive Northeastern's offense, having led the Huskies in scoring during each of the team's last four games. During the stretch, the Hamilton, Ontario, native has paced the squad in scoring and rebounding average – 18.8 points, 6.3 rebounds per game – while shooting 50 percent from the field and knocking down the team high, five 3-pointers. Oriyomi's production highlights an emerging corps of Northeastern underclassmen, which enter Tuesday accounting for 65 percent of the team's total minutes this season.
