RICHMOND, Va. - Northeastern's Jahmyl Telfort earned his second Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week honors, announced by the league office on Monday. Telfort, a native of Boucherville, Quebec, helped the Huskies earn a sweep over Elon to open conference play this past weekend inside the Cabot Center.

In the league opener on Saturday, Telfort scored a season-best 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting as the Huskies routed Elon, 75-52. The 6-foot-7 guard made his way into the starting lineup on Sunday, tallying 10 points and a career-best three steals in a close 66-58 victory for Northeastern.

Telfort and the Huskies will take on CAA preseason favorite and defending champion Hofstra in a home-and-home series this week. NU will travel to Hempstead, N.Y. for a 7 p.m. contest on Thursday night, before returning to Boston for a Noon tip on Saturday on NESN.
