WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Junior
Lauren Rowe tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Northeastern field hockey team (3-8, 0-2 CAA) as they fell to William & Mary (2-6, 2-0 CAA) 4-3 on Sunday at Busch Field.
- Rowe (5) put the Huskies on the board with a penalty corner shot early in the second quarter. She was assisted by redshirt senior Angela Connolly and junior Maliea Kelso.
- Sophomore Mak Graves (6) tied the game at 2-2 with a deceptive deflection off a pass from freshman Kate Blaisdell.
- Connolly redirected a penalty corner shot from Rowe to score her first goal of the season, cutting the Tribe's lead to 4-3 with 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
- The team recorded six saves, led by four saves in goal from redshirt senior Erin Savage and a defensive save by Connolly.
- William & Mary got on the board first with a goal in the first quarter. The Tribe added two more goals in the second quarter and another in the third.
The Northeastern field hockey team will be back in action at Dedham Field as they host CAA opponent Drexel on Friday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. The game will be streamed on
