Korczynski Earns First-Place Finish to Lead Huskies at the CAA Championships

BOSTON –
Β Senior Alexander Korczynski claimed the men's individual title with a time of 25:01.20 and sophomore Tessa McClain placed eighth in the women's 6K with a time of 22:05.60 to lead the Northeastern men's and women's cross country teams at the CAA Championships on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Franklin Park. Both the men's and women's team placed second overall.Β 
  • After placing first in the men's 8K race, Korczynski was named the Most Outstanding Performer.
  • Senior Matthew Schaefer claimed a spot on the men's All-CAA Team with a fourth-place time of 25:06.70.Β 
  • Freshman Benjamin Godish (25:24.70) finished seventh and sophomore Patrick Cullen (25:41.10) finished 12th to earn All-CAA recognition.
  • Sophomore Abigail Hassman (22:13.90) placed ninth and sophomore Azza Borovicka-Swanson (22:14.30) placed 10th to join McClain on the women's All-CAA Team.Β

The Northeastern men's and women's cross country teams will be back in action at the NCAA Northeast Regional Meet on Friday, Nov. 12 at Franklin Park.
