Cardillo Leads Huskies at Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I. –
 Trinity Cardillo achieved a career-best mark of 52 feet, 4 inches to place first in the weight throw and lead the Northeastern women's track and field team on Thursday at Rhode Island. 
 
Freshman Tessa McClain also posted the eighth-best mark in school history in the 3000 meters with a personal-best with a time of 3:12.87.

Shraeya Srinivasan took home first in the triple jump with a mark of 36 feet, 5.50 inches. Khamil Evans and Sydney Robinson placed second and third in the 400 meters with times of 59.98 and 1:00.18, respectively. 
 
Jillian Lombardi led the Huskies in the long jump, placing second with a mark of 17 feet, 2.25 inches. 
 
The Northeastern men's track and field team will compete at URI on Friday, and the women's track and field team will return on Saturday at UConn.
