Walker named NABC All-District First Team

NU's Walker Earns NABC All-District Accolades

NABC ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -
Northeastern's Tyson Walker was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District first team, announced by the NABC on Tuesday. Walker, a native of Westbury, N.Y., led the Huskies with 18.8 points, 4.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game.

A 6-foot point guard, Walker led the Colonial Athletic Association with 19.3 points per game in league play. He was named CAA Defensive Player of the Year, All-CAA first team and currently ranks 12th in the country in steals per game. Walker reached double figures in his final 16 games of the season and led the CAA with two 30-point games.

This marks the seventh consecutive season that a Husky has made an appearance on the NABC All-District first team. Northeastern captured its fourth CAA regular-season championship and head coach Bill Coen moved past Jim Calhoun (1972-86) on the NU all-time wins list with 251.
