Northeastern Falls to UMass in Home Opener

DEDHAM – Lauren Rowe scored for the Huskies to lead Northeastern (0-1, 0-0 CAA) in a 2-1 loss to UMass (1-1, 0-0 Atlantic 10) on Friday afternoon at Dedham Field. 
 
The Minutemen outshot the Huskies 20-8, but Erin Savage led Northeastern's defensive unit with six saves. 

Georgie McTear got the scoring going for UMass off a penalty stroke to take the 1-0 lead in the third. In the fourth, Josephine Ang gave the Minutemen a 2-0 lead.
 
The Huskies will return to Dedham Field this Sunday, March 7 to play Bryant at 1 p.m.
