DEDHAM, Mass. – Lauren Rowe had two goals, plus
Cassie Brazinsky scored her first career goal and added an assist to lead Northeastern (1-1, 0-0 CAA) in their 3-1 win over Bryant (0-2, 0-0 NEC) on Sunday afternoon at Dedham Field.
The Huskies dominated offensively, outshooting Bryant 35-7 and earning 21 penalty corners. Rowe finished with nine shots on goal and has three goals in the first two games of the season.
Northeastern's defense remained strong with
Caroline Sweeney registering a defensive save and the combined efforts of
Erin Savage and
Sydney Rusnock in goal.
Bryant scored their lone goal in the third quarter with a second effort shot by Kylie Nelson. Defensively, Lyndsay Swanston and Marijn Jaarsma made a total of 11 saves on the Huskies' 14 shots on goal.
Northeastern will be back in action next week at UMass Lowell on Friday, March 12 and at UNH on Sunday, March 14.
