Storrs, Conn. – Erica Belvit broke Northeastern's school record in the women's hammer throw with a personal-best distance of 219 feet, 6.65 inches to lead the Northeastern men's and women's track and field team on the final day of competition at the UConn Northeast Invitational. Belvit's record-breaking mark ranks her No. 7 in the Nation and No. 2 in the region.
Madison Neuner placed first in the women's 3000 meters steeplechase with a personal-best time of 10:50.41, while
Tessa McClain finished second in the women's 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:12.75.
Jillian Lombardi earned a personal-best in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.33.
Kaitlyn Cavallaro posted a personal-best mark in the women's javelin throw with a distance of 117 feet, 2 inches, while
Kennedee Cox earned a personal-best distance of 18 feet, 7.6 inches in the women's long jump.
Leeyan Redwood championed the women's discus throw with a mark of 134 feet, 5 inches.
Back in Orlando Fla. at the UCF Knights Invite,
Alexander Korczynski tallied a first-place finish in the men's 400 meters with a personal-best time of 1:52, while
Bryan Keller followed shortly after clocking a personal-best time of 1:53.85 to finish in third.
Eric Clay also notched a personal-best in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:54.74.
David Adams posted a time of 47.85 in the men's 800 meters, ranking him ninth on the Northeastern all-time list.
Michelle Nkoudou earned a personal-best in the women's 100-meter hurdles (14.27), while
Mayowa Osunsami ran a personal-best in the men's 100-meter hurdles (14.41).
Northeastern will compete in the 2021 CAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship hosted by James Madison University beginning on Friday, April 30.
