  • Northeastern becomes the first No. 1 seed to win the CAA Championship since UNCW won the 2012 Championship
  • NU had hits from 8-of-9 batters in the game and smacked 4 home runs
  • The Red and Black are 15-1 this season when hitting 2 or more home runs
  • The Huskies are 15-9 in elimination games of the CAA tournament
  • Northeastern is 27-1 when scoring first, pushed 2 runs across in the 1st inning
  • NU captures its first-ever CAA tournament title
  • The 36 wins ties the single-season school record set in 2018
  • Northeastern makes NCAA Regionals for the second time in the last three years (no tourney in 2020 due to COVID-19)

Sophomore Jared Dupere (RF)
  • Broke the single-season school record with 21 home runs, surpassing Frank Pesanello (20 in 2008)
  • Smacked his 4th home run of the tournament in the 1st inning
  • Selected to the all-tournament team
  • Named CAA Player of the Year
  • All-CAA first team
 
Junior Ian Fair (1B)
  • Has reached base in 25 consecutive games
  • Tallied a 2-out, 2-RBI double in the 3rd inning
  • Named to the all-tournament team for the 3rd straight year
 
Sophomore Ben Malgeri (CF)
  • Most Outstanding Player for the tournament
  • Led the tourney with 5 home runs
  • Drove in a tourney-best 9 runs in the CAA tournament
  • Tallied his second straight 2-home run game
  • Tied the game in the bottom of the 9th inning with his second home run of the game off CAA Pitcher of the Year Landen Roupp
 
Senior Brian Rodriguez (RHP)
  • Tossed 2.0 scoreless innings in the 8th and 9th
  • Retired 6-of-7 batters faced
  • Improved to 3-0 on the season
 
Freshman Cam Schlittler (RHP)
  • Made the start after throwing 8.0 innings on Thursday in the tourney opener
  • Worked 2.1 innings, striking out 3 and allowed 1 hit
  • Northeastern is 11-1 this season when he starts the game
  • Named to the all-tournament team
 
Freshman Max Viera (2B)
  • Hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning off CAA Pitcher of the Year Landen Roupp
  • Reached base in 32 of 33 games played this season
  • Finished 2-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs
  • Named to the all-tournament team
  • All-CAA first team selection, CAA All-Rookie Team
 
Head Coach Mike Glavine
  • Led the Huskies to their first-ever CAA tournament title
  • Named CAA Coach of the Year for the third time this season (2017, '18, '21)
  • Led the Huskies to a CAA record 18-0 start to the conference season
  • Huskies won a single-season school record 20 consecutive games from April 7-May 15
  • Approaching 200 career wins, currently has 195, most by any NU coach in a 7-year stretch
  • Selected by his peers as one of the most underrated head coaches in the country by Baseball America in 2020
