WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Sophomore
Mak Graves scored back-to-back goals in the fourth quarter to lead Northeastern (0-2, 0-0 CAA) as they fell to Monmouth (1-1, 0-0 AE) 6-5 in overtime on Sunday at So Sweet A Cat Field.
- Graves has two goals on the season to lead the Huskies.
- Freshman Lara Taylor scored her first career goal late in the fourth quarter. Taylor's goal evened the score to 5-5 and pushed the game into overtime.
- Sophomore Caroline Sweeney tied the game at 1-1 with a goal assisted by junior Lauren Rowe on a penalty corner in the second quarter.
- Rowe tied the game at 2-2 with a penalty stroke goal in the third quarter.
- Sophomore Sarah Coyle recorded an assist and two shots on goal.
- Redshirt seniors Erin Savage and Julia Gluyas made six saves each.
- Monmouth took a 5-4 lead after scoring three goals in the fourth quarter and went on to win in overtime with a goal off a penalty corner.
The Huskies will travel to Ohio University to play Michigan State on Friday, Sept. 3 at 1 p.m.
