DEDHAM, Mass. – Junior
Lauren Rowe scored the game-winning-goal to lift the Northeastern field hockey team (3-6, 0-0 CAA) over crosstown rival Boston University (2-8, 0-2 Patriot League) 2-1 on Sunday at Dedham Field.
- Sophomore Mak Graves gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead after batting in a deflection off Boston University's goalie early in the second quarter. Graves currently leads the team with five goals.
- The Terriers scored the equalizer late in the second quarter.
- Rowe (4) put Northeastern up 2-1 late in the third quarter off a penalty corner shot that was assisted by redshirt senior Angela Connolly and graduate student Cadera Smith.
- The Huskies dominated the Terriers in shots on goal (14-3) and penalty corners (13-3).
- Northeastern's thrilling win marks their first victory over Boston University since the 2014 season.
The Northeastern field hockey team will return to action this weekend with their first CAA match of the season at James Madison on Friday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. The game will be streamed on
