Exilhomme Breaks School Record to Lead the Huskies at the Battle in Beantown


RESULTS


BOSTON –
 Freshman Ethan Exilhomme broke the school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a second-place time of 7.87 to lead the Northeastern track and field teams on Saturday at the Battle in Beantown.
  • The women's distance medley relay team, comprised of sophomore Tessa McClain, junior Khamil Evans, sophomore Abigail Hassman and freshman Nicole Dunbury, placed first in the event with the third-best time in program history (11:48.09).
  • Senior Alexander Korczynski won the men's mile, running the fourth-best indoor time in school history (4:00.53, PB). All seven of Northeastern's runner earned personal-best times in the event.
  • In the women's mile, sophomore Ava Duggan ran Northeastern's fifth-best indoor time (4:53.89, PB) to finish sixth in the event.
  • Sophomore Savion Thompson rounded out the top three in the men's 60-meter hurdles with the seventh-best time (tied) in school history (8.07, PB). In the preliminaries, senior Mayowa Osunsami ran the sixth-best time in Northeastern history (8.06, PB).
  • Junior Dominique Biron championed the long jump with the program's seventh-best indoor mark of 5.84 meters (19-2). 
  • In the weight throw, sophomore Nicholas Pisciotta won the men's event with a personal-best mark of 18.81 meters (61-8.50). On the women's side, sophomore Trinity Cardillo threw a career-best distance of 16.60 meters (54-5.50).
 
The Huskies will be back in action at the Boston University John Thomas Invitational on Friday, Jan. 28. The meet will be streamed on FloTrack.
