BOSTON – Northeastern University goaltender
Devon Levi has been named to the Canadian Olympic ice hockey team, becoming the first Northeastern men's hockey player in program history to represent his home nation in the Olympics.

Jerry Keefe. "It's a big deal for a college kid to be able to represent Canada at the Olympics, and he's excited. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity, we're proud of him and we want to see him do well."
Devon Levi has been one of the NCAA's top goaltenders this season with a .948 save percentage (T-1st in NCAA), nine shutouts (1st), and a 1.55 goals-against average (4th). He broke the Northeastern single-season shutout record of six shutouts in just his 17th career appearance. Levi had been the goalie of record for every game for Northeastern this season ahead of his departure for Beijing (16-7-1).
Levi has also been recently named to the Hobey Baker nominee and a member of the 'watch list' of the 2022 Mike Richter Award's for the NCAA's top goalie. He has received six Hockey East weekly awards this season, along with two monthly awards and one national monthly award from the Hockey Commissioner's Association.
The 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China begin February 4. The men's hockey competition begins on February 9 and concludes with the gold medal game on February 20.
