Huskies Set to Face Boston College in Home Opener

BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team is set to take on crosstown foe Boston College in its home opener on Wednesday, November 16. Tip-off is slated for 11 am, and can be watched on NESN and FloHoops.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
  1. DOUBLE-TROUBLE: Sophomore guard Gemima Motema has tallied double digit points in both games to start the season. Motema, a CAA preseason honorable mention, notched 16 points in Northeastern's season opener win at Boston University, and then had a team-high 11 points against #6 UConn.
  2. TALE OF THE TAPE:  The Eagles hold a 17-13 record over the Huskies all-time since the first meeting in 1973. Northeastern last defeated Boston College with a 68-65 victory on December 19, 1993.
  3. ON THE BOARDS: Freshman forward Oralye Kiefer has kicked off her Northeastern career in style, leading the team in rebounds with 13, averaging 6.5 per game. The Wayland, Massachusetts native tallied eight rebounds vs. Boston University, and had five against UConn.
After their home opener, the Huskies will head to New Hampshire to face the Wildcats on Saturday, November 19. Tip-off is set for 1 pm, and can be watched on AETV.
