BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (3-5) is set to host Holy Cross on Saturday, December 3 at 1 pm, and then Harvard on Monday, December 5 at 5 pm.
Saturday's game can be watched on NESN & FloHoops, and Monday will be on NESN+ and FloHoops.
Saturday is also Northeastern's Youth Game, and there will be fun family activities throughout the contest such as pictures with Paws, a coloring station, a post-game autograph session with the team, and more!
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- SPREADING THE WEALTH – In Northeastern's 75-47 win over Merrimack on Wednesday, the Huskies had all 11 players who entered the game score. The offensive effort was balanced as 10 different players made at least one field goal, and Northeastern shot 29-of-62 (46.8%) from the field. Sophomore guard Gemima Motema led all scorers with 16 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
- HOME SWEET HOME – The matchups against Holy Cross and Harvard mark the first games of the 2022-23 season that will take place in the Cabot Center. Northeastern was stellar at home last season, finishing with a 10-4 record, which marked a program-best since the 2018-19 season (12-3).
- SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS – The Holy Cross Crusaders enter with a 5-2 record, and are coming off a 60-45 win over Brown on Wednesday. Holy Cross was picked to finish third in the Patriot League, and are led by sophomore forward Lindsay Berger, who averages 12.3 points per game, and 8.6 rebounds per game. The Crimson enters with a 4-4 record, and are coming off a dominant 86-66 win over UMass Lowell. Sophomore guard Harmoni Turner leads Harvard with 19.0 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game.
After Harvard, the Huskies will return to the court at Stonehill on Tuesday, December 20. Tip-off is slated for 6 pm.
