Alina Mueller of the No. 8 Northeastern women's hockey team has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week, as announced on Monday. Mueller posted five assists as she helped lead the Huskies to a weekend sweep over No. 13 Vermont.

Mueller's five points over the two games against UVM, marked a team-high. She posted two assists in the 3-1 victory and followed it up with three assists in the 5-1 win over the Catamounts. She currently leads all Hockey East players with 31 points off 14 goals and 17 assists. Additionally, her 31 points rank as the fourth-best mark in the nation.

The Winterthur, Switzerland native is riding a five-game point streak where she has posted three goals and seven assists. The Huskies are 16-0-0 when Mueller records a point this season.

Mueller and the Huskies are back in action in 2023 with a tilt against Boston University on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
