Huskies Conclude Competition at Brown and Notre Dame

BOSTON – Freshman Samantha Fischer won the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.10 meters (10-2) and junior Thomas Qualter placed third in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.15 meters (13-7.25) to lead the Northeastern track and field teams at the Brown Indoor Invitational and Alex Wilson Invitational on Saturday.
  • The men's distance medley relay team, comprised of sophomore Tyler Brogan, senior Phillips Magre, freshman Reed Cherry and senior Alexander Korczynski, ran the third-best indoor time in program history at Notre Dame. 
  • In the long jump, senior Jillian Lombardi placed third in the women's event (5.49m/18-0.25) and freshman Paul Wisnaskas finished fourth for the men with a personal-best mark (6.20m/20-4.25)
  • Freshman Claire Danyluk earned a third-place finish in the women's 500 meter with a time of 1:18.06.
  • Freshman Nii Yarboi Yartley ran a time of 23.20 in the men's 200 meter, placing third in the event.
