Four Huskies Honored on Day One of Hockey East Postseason Awards

Levi, Harris, Hryckowian, and Hughes honored by Hockey East.

AMESBURY, Mass. - Four members of the Northeastern men's ice hockey team were either named award winners or All-Rookie team members in the first day of Hockey East's post-season awards roll-out, highlighted by two single award winners Devon Levi and Jordan Harris and a program-best three All-Rookie team members.

Devon Levi - Sophomore, Goaltender - PNC Bank Three Stars Award, Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team
  • Levi has been named the PNC Bank Three Stars Award winner - the award is given out every year to the player with the highest number of points from being included in the Army/ROTC Three Stars of the Game, selected at every Hockey East contest. 
    • At the conclusion of each game the members of the media decide the three stars of the game, awarding five points for being named as the first star, three points for a second star and one point for a third star. Only conference games are counted in the standings for the Three-Stars Award.
  • Levi was also named to the Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team as a unanimous decision. 
  • At the end of the regular season, Levi posted a .953 save% with 10 shutouts (both 2nd in NCAA, 1st in Hockey East) and a 1.45 GAA (3rd in NCAA, 1st in Hockey East).
  • His 20 wins on the year (20-8-1 record this season) places him fourth in Northeastern history in goalie wins in a single season. His 10 shutouts in a season is a new school record, with five shutouts being the next best, recorded in 2019-11 and 2003-04.
  • Levi also accumulated six Hockey East weekly honors on the year, along with two Rookie of the Month awards and one National Rookie of the Month honor for the month of November.

Jordan Harris - Senior, Defensemen - Best Defensive Defenseman
  • The captain of the Huskies appeared in all 36 contests for Northeastern this season as the team's top blue-liner.
  • Harris blocked a team-high 64 shots on the year and ends the regular season with a +15 rating.
  • Offensively he chipped in with 19 points on the year, with five goals and 14 assists. One goal counted as a game-winner, and his 14 assists are tied for second-most on the team.
  • Was named Hockey East Defender of the Week on Nov. 1.
  • Harris is just the fourth Northeastern Husky to win the award in its 23 year history, and the first since Josh Manson in 2013-14.

Justin Hryckowian - Freshman, Forward - Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team
  • Appeared in 24 games in his freshman season for Northeastern.
  • Led all rookie scorers on the team with six goals and 14 assists for 20 total points.
  • His 13 points in Hockey East play was third-best among rookies in the conference.
  • Had a faceoff efficiency of 63.8% on the year, 62.7% in Hockey East contests.

Jack Hughes - Freshman, Forward - Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team
  • Played in all 36 games his freshman season for the Huskies.
  • Third-most goals on the team with seven, along with eight assists for 15 points.
  • His five Hockey East goals is tied for third-most among rookies in the league this year.
  • Won Rookie of the Week honors this past Monday, March 7th.
This marks the first time in program history that Northeastern has had three players the All-Rookie team since the award's inception in 1984-85. Northeastern has placed two members on the All-Rookie team five times, the most recent occurrence being the 2010-11 season (Anthony Biletto, Brodie Reid).

Northeastern earned its program-first regular season championship and the overall #1 seed in the Hockey East tournament after thrilling one-goal victory over Merrimack with under 10 seconds remaining in regulation. They will host the lowest remaining seed after Wednesday night's play in games in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. The Huskies' quarterfinal matchup is slated for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop on Saturday evening at Matthews Arena. The game will be broadcast on NESN+ and streaming on CollegeSportsLive outside of New England.
