GAME ONE – BOX SCORE (PDF)
- Neither offense could stump the starting pitchers, as both had no-hitters brewing through the opening frames.
- Northeastern's first baserunner came in the top of the fifth when Corey DiLoreto reached on a catcher's interference. He was advanced to second by a ground out, and attempted to run home on an infield single by Jeff Costello, but Elon snuffed out the attempt.
- The story of game one became the pitching staffs – each team only used two pitchers each, with Northeastern's starter Wyatt Scotti going 7.0 innings with no hits or runs and 10 strikeouts.
- Scotti was relieved by Jordy Allard (2-1) who got the win after pitching 2.0 innings, allowing just one hit, no runs, no walks, and striking out three. The two pitchers combined for a one hit shutout, the fourth shutout for the Huskies this year.
- The game was locked in a scoreless tie until the bottom of the ninth when the Huskies faced a bases-loaded situation.
- The offense started on the very first pitch when JP Olson doubled to deep left field, and was advanced to third by Spenser Smith on a sacrifice bunt.
- After an infield single by Mike Sirota put runners on the corners with one out, Elon intentionally walked Luke Beckstein to create a force-out opportunity at every base.
- Max Viera stepped up to bat and hit an 0-2 pitch to the edge of the infield for a fielder's choice, scoring Olson from third with only one force out available at third base. It was the Huskies' first walk off win of the season.
- Viera now has Northeastern's last two walk-off RBIs, dating back to his walk-off home run in the 2021 CAA Championship game.

GAME TWO – BOX SCORE (PDF)
- Elon got on the board first in the top of the fourth – after getting a runner in scoring position, a two-out RBI single put the Phoenix up, 1-0.
- Starting pitcher Cam Schlittler allowed just three hits in his seven innings of work - he walked two batters while tying his career high of 11 strikeouts.Â
- Eric Yost took over in the eighth and continued Northeastern's string of excellent pitching, allowing no hits or runs in his 2.0 IP, with two K's.Â
- Northeastern had the opportunity to go ahead in the bottom of the ninth with the tying run on first due to a fielding error, and the go-ahead run at the plate, but Elon forced Northeastern into a double play to end the game.
With the game one victory, the Huskies took the season series, 2-1, the team's first CAA series victory of the 2022 season.
The Huskies will face off with Harvard on Tuesday afternoon in Allston in the 2022 Baseball Beanpot consolation game - first pitch scheduled for 3pm. After their mid-week tilt with the Crimson, they travel down to Williamsburg, Virginia for a three-game series with James Madison. Game one is scheduled for 6pm Friday evening, with Saturday's contest slated at 4pm, and Sunday's at 1pm.
