BROOKLINE, Mass. – In game two of their weekend series, the Northeastern Huskies (13-13-1, 0-5 CAA) fell to the William & Mary Tribe (13-11, 4-1 CAA) by a score of 4-3 at Friedman Diamond.

Both teams traded blows for the first five innings, but William & Mary notched the deciding run in the final frame.

- The Huskies got on the board first with leadoff single by Mike Sirota. He proceeded to steel second on the next pitch, and was advanced to third by a single from Luke Beckstein. The number three hitter Danny Crossen laid down a perfect bunt on the first base line, scoring Sirota from third on the sacrifice.
- The Tribe would answer back with two runs in the top of the second with an RBI double followed by an RBI single.
- Northeastern tied the game up in the bottom of the inning – a double from Max Viera and a single from Teddy Beaudet put runners at the corners with one out. Spenser Smith laid down a bunt but Viera beat the throw home, and it allowed Beaudet to reach third and Smith to reach second.
- William & Mary retook the lead on a leadoff solo shot to left field in the fourth.
- Northeastern tied the game again with another RBI bunt in the fifth – The setup involved DiLoreto reaching first on a catcher's interference, and he was driven to third by a line drive down the left field line by Jeff Costello.
- With runners at the corners, Justin Bosland laid down a bunt on the first base line and beat out the throw to first for the bunt single, scoring DiLoreto from third to tie it at 3-3.
- William & Mary took the 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth on a solo home run to left field.
- The Huskies put the tying run in scoring position in the bottom of the ninth but a pair deep fly-outs, including one right at the left field wall, were unable to send them home.
- NU starter Sebastian Keane went 6.1 innings, allowing just three earned runs on six hits – he also walked six and struck out six.
- Eric Yost (1-2) came in in the seventh and finished the game for the Huskies – he went 2.2 innings allowing two hits and just the one earned run. He struck out three in a row between the eighth and ninth innings.
- The Huskies scored in the first inning for the second straight contest. (4-2)
- Northeastern is now 5-4 in games where they commit no errors.

The two teams will wrap up the weekend series Sunday, April 3 at Friedman Diamond – first pitch has been moved from 1pm, up one hour to 12pm. The game will be streamed on FloBaseball.
