STORRS, Conn. – Dominique Biron championed the women's long jump (5.81m/19-0.75) in addition to placing third in the women's 400-meter hurdles with the eighth-best time in school history (1:02.97, PB) and
Phillips Magre placed second in the men's high jump with the ninth-best outdoor time in program history (2.03m/6-8) to lead the Northeastern track and field teams on Saturday at the UConn Dog Fight.
Nicholas Pisciotta also provided a top performance for the Huskies with his first-place mark of 59.81 meters (196-2) in the men's hammer throw.
- The women's field events proved to be successful with Madeleine DuChaussee placing third in the women's shot put (13.32m/43-8.50) and Kaitlyn Cavallaro finished fourth in the women's javelin throw (36.83m/120-10).
- Isabelle Dely took home third place in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.43.
- Nii Yarboi Yartley finished fourth in the men's 100 meter (10.81) and seventh in the men's 200 meter (22.37).
- Sydney Robinson earned a sixth-place finish in the women's 200 meter with a time of 25.97.
- James Pothier ran a personal-best time of 3:59.60 in the men's 1,500 meters, finishing in 14th place in the event.
- In the women's 1,500 meters, Sarah Petersen led the Huskies with a seventh-place finish (4:43.18).
The Huskies will continue their weekend of competition tomorrow at the Minuteman Invitational. Competition begins at 11 a.m. with the women's hammer throw.
