Huskies Wrap Up Competition at Sunshine Invitational

SARASOTA, Fla.— On the final day of competition at the Sunshine Invitational, the first varsity eight and varsity four raced in the grand final, while the second varsity eight raced in the petite final on Saturday morning in Nathan Benderson Park.
  • The first varsity eight placed fifth in the grand final in a time of 6:35.40 against a field of UCF, Iowa, Tulsa, Drexel and Louisville.
  • Racing in the grand final against Iowa, Kansas State, UCF, Drexel and Kansas, the varsity four placed fourth in a time of 7:31.05.
  • The Huskies' second varsity eight raced in the petite final, going up against Kansas, Tulsa, Jacksonville and Stetson, and placed fourth with a time of 6:47.32.
The Huskies will next compete for the Woodbury Cup against Columbia and Navy at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield, N.J. on Saturday, April 9.
