Keller and Klinge Lead Huskies at Jay Carisella and UVA with Top 10 Marks

BOSTON –
 Abigail Klinge placed second in the women's discus throw with the sixth-best time in school history (44.45m/145-10, PB) and Bryan Keller finished 11th in the men's 1,500 meters with the fourth-best outdoor time in program history (3:44.61, PB) to lead the Northeastern track and field teams on Friday at the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational and Virginia Challenge. 
 
Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational
  • Lucinda Shotts recorded the eighth-best outdoor time in NU history in the 800 meters, winning the event with a personal-best time of 2:11.38.
  • In the 1,500 meters, Benjamin Godish won with a time of 3:53.26 and Patrick Mullen finished fourth. On the women's side, Nicole Dunbury placed second (4:36.73) and Sarah Petersen placed third (4:40.31).
  • Isabelle Dely championed the women's 100-meter hurdles (14.90) and Kennedee Cox placed third with a time of 15.76.
  • In the 100-meter dash, Phillips Magre earned a first-place finish for the men (12.53) and Sydney Robinson won for the women with a time of 12.53. Magre also took home first in the men's 200-meter dash (22.23) and the high jump (2.03m/6-8).
  • In the men's throws, Nicholas Pisciotta championed the hammer throw (61.24m/200-11) and Diego Sanabria placed third in the javelin throw with a personal-best mark (57.99m/190-3).
 
Virginia Challenge
  • Matthew Schaefer recorded the eighth-best outdoor time in school history in the men's 5,000 meters (14:04.84, PB).
  • Tessa McClain finished 27th in the women's 800 meters with a time of 4:28.34.
  • Alexander Korczynski earned a 10th place finish in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:48.26.
