Huskies Conclude Competition at the Minuteman Invitational with Top Performances from Petersen and Sylvain

RESULTS

AMHERST, Mass. –
 Pierre Sylvain won the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 49.47 and Sarah Petersen recorded a second-place time of 2:14.99 in the women's 800 meters to lead the Northeastern track and field teams on Sunday at the Minuteman Invitational.
  • In the men's 800 meters, Nicholas Young placed second with a time of 1:51.89 and Bryan Keller placed third with a time of 1:52.24. The Huskies claimed five of the top six spots in the event with Tyler Brogan finishing fourth (1:52.36), Ryan Dailor in fifth (1:54.67) and James Pothier in sixth (1:55.44).
  • Abigail Klinge placed second in the women's discus throw (40.56m/133-1) and finished fourth in the women's shot put with a personal-best mark of 12.04 meters (39-6).
  • In the hammer throw, Tremain Robinson placed second on the men's side (50.20m/164-8) and Hope Belvit earned a fourth-place finish with career-best mark of 48.71 meters (159-9) in the event.
  • Madeleine DuChaussee placed third (13.07m/42-10.75) in the women's shot put. 
  • Sydney Robinson took home fourth in the women's 100-meter dash (12.54) and sixth in the women's 200-meter dash (25.96)
  • Nii Yarboi Yartley ran a fourth-place time of 22.90 in the men's 200-meter dash.
