Huskies Capture Woodbury Cup

LEONIA, N.J.— For the first time since the 2016-17 season, the Northeastern women's rowing team won the Woodbury Cup, defeating Columbia and Navy on Saturday morning at Overpeck Park. The Huskies' first varsity eight raced down the course in a time of 6:26.435 to return the Woodbury Cup back home.
  • The third varsity four kicked off the day for the Huskies, defeating Navy in a time of 7:51.847.
  • The second varsity four was bested by Navy in their race, crossing the finish line in a time of 7:54.512. The first varsity four placed third going up against Columbia and Navy, finishing with a time of 7:39.077.
  • Northeastern's second varsity eight took on Navy and Columbia but placed third with a time of 6:56.964. The Huskies' third varsity eight also placed third behind Navy and Colubmia with a time of 7:03.723.
  • With Camille Arnold-Mages as the coxswain and Helaina Howe in the stroke seat, the Huskies finished just under three seconds over Columbia and almost eight seconds over Navy to win the Woodbury Cup in a time of 6:26.435.
