BOSTON — The Northeastern women's rowing team looks to claim a third-straight Council Cup title this weekend against Boston University on the Charles River. Races will begin at 7:10 a.m. with the third and fourth varsity boats.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- BOAT OF THE WEEK: Fresh off their first CAA Boat of the Week honor of the season, the Huskies turned heads at the Doc Hosea Invitational — competing against four ranked programs, including No. 3 Yale. In Session I, the boat posted a 6:50.00 against No. 12 Syracuse and No. 9 Virginia. Session II brought an improved 6:39.10 finish against the Bulldogs.
- ON THE CHARLES: The last time Northeastern competed on the Charles River was at the 2025 Foot of the Charles in November — the Bow 4 varsity eight, coxed by Isabella Hsia, took fourth in a field of 25 boats with a final time of 14:27.300.
- COUNCIL CUP QUEST: The Huskies are chasing their third-straight Council Cup this season — having edged BU by 1.4 seconds last year with a varsity eight time of 6:44.30 to claim back-to-back titles.
