WORCESTER, Mass.— The Northeastern women's rowing team kicked off postseason competition on Sunday at the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, with the first varsity eight placing fourth overall. The varsity four 'b' and four 'c' also both raced in their respective grand finals.
- The first varsity eight placed fourth overall with a time of 6:55.08 after advancing of the heats with the fourth fastest time of the day. The Huskies beat CAA foe Drexel out by just over five seconds in the race with the Dragons finishing in a time of 7:00.15.
- Northeastern's varsity four 'b' advanced to the grand final and placed sixth, finishing in a time of 7:42.02. The varsity four 'c' raced in the grand final and fourth out of seven boats with a time of 7:58.68. The varsity four 'a' advanced to the petite final and placed fourth in a time of 7:58.63.
- The Huskies' third varsity eight advanced to the petite final as did the second varsity eight, crossing the finish line in times of 7:08.06 and 7:12.58, respectively.
Northeastern will next compete at the CAA Championships in Cherry Hill, N.J. on Sunday, May 15 with a spot in the NCAA Championship on the line.
