2022 NCAA REGIONALS QUALIFIERS

Four Huskies Qualify for NCAA East Preliminaries

BOSTON – Donatien Djero, Ethan Exilhomme, Alexander Korczynski and Nicholas Pisciotta will continue their outdoor seasons at the NCAA East Preliminaries. The competition with take place at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. from May 25-29. 
 
Donatien Djero (100m)
  • At the CAA Championships, Djero was a co-recipient of the CAA Men's Most Outstanding Track performer after placing in three events. He earned first-place finish by running record-breaking time in the 100-meter dash.
  • He placed first in the 100-meter dash with a 10.19 (w3.5) at the South Florida Invitational.
  • This is the graduate student's second time qualifying for the NCAA East Preliminaries; he previously qualified in 2018 during his freshman season.
 
Ethan Exilhomme (110m Hurdles)
  • During his first season as a Husky, Exilhomme placed second in the 110-meter hurdles at the CAA Championships.
  • At the ECAC/IC4A Championships, he earned a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles and recorded the fifth-best time in school history in the preliminary round (14.19, PB).
 
Alexander Korczynski (3000m Steeplechase)
  • At the CAA Championships, Korczynski maintained his championship title by winning the event for the third year in a row.
  • He ran the meet-qualifying time (8:48.26) at the Virginia Challenge, finishing 10th in the event.
  • Last season, the senior had a successful performance in the NCAA East Preliminaries and qualified for the NCAA Championships.
 
Nicholas Pisciotta (Hammer Throw)
  • Pisciotta earned first-place medals in two events at the CAA Championships, including the hammer throw with a mark of 58.10 meters.
  • At the UConn Northeast Challenge, he won the hammer throw with the 10th best mark in school history (61.35m).
