Mueller Named Swiss Hockey Woman of the Year

BERN, Switzerland— Alina Mueller of the Northeastern women's hockey team was named the 2022 Swiss Hockey Woman of the Year, as announced on Friday at the Swiss Hockey Awards.
 
The three-time Olympian, Mueller tallied 39 points off of 11 goals and 28 assists for the Huskies in just 21 games. She averaged 1.86 points per game to lead the NCAA. Additionally, Mueller was named an All-American and a Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Top-10 Finalist for the fourth time in her career.
 
At the Olympics, Mueller posted four goals and six assists for 10 points over seven games in Beijing. Mueller was the only European skater to be in the top-10 scorers at the Olympics.
 
The Winterthur, Switzerland native will return to the Huskies for the 2022-23 season as captain of the Northeastern squad. This award marks the second time Mueller has been named the Swiss Woman of the Year in her career.
