Huskies Return Home To Host Drexel On Saturday

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday afternoon when the Huskies play host to Drexel. Tip-off at Matthews Arena is set for 12 p.m. and the game will be streamed on FloHoops.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. THE SERIES WITH DREXEL

The Huskies and Dragons are meeting for the 71st time in series history, with Drexel owning a 42-28 edge in the series. The Dragons have won each of the last three meetings following a five-win stretch for Northeastern from 2018 to 2020.

2. HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN
Northeastern is back home in Matthews Arena for three of its next four games where the Huskies are 3-2 this season. Jahmyl Telfort is averaging 20.0 points per game and the Huskies are shooting 43% as a team at home this season.

Additionally, next Saturday's game vs. the College of Charleston could mark the first time since Dec. 19 2015 that a ranked opponent has visited Matthews Arena (No. 1 Michigan State).

3. DOMINATING THE GLASS
Northeastern outrebounded Georgia State 50-24 on Dec. 2. It was the most rebounds in a game for the Huskies since the 2011-12 season.

The Huskies have outrebounded their opponent in seven of the last eight games, and nine times overall this season. Northeastern is 106th in the NCAA, and second in the CAA, averaging 37 rebounds per game.
