Northeastern Readies For Road Test At Towson

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team heads back on the road for a pair of conference contests this weekend, beginning on Thursday night at Towson. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on FloHoops.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. THE SERIES WITH TOWSON

The Huskies and Tigers are meeting for the 49th time in series history, with Northeastern leading the series 28-20. All three games last season were decided by single digits, including a 58-53 victory for Northeastern at Matthews Arena.

2. DOUBLE 'EM UP
Chris Doherty (15 points, 14 rebounds) and Joe Pridgen (14 points, 14 rebounds) had big nights for Northeastern on Jan. 16 vs. Delaware, recording their first double-doubles of the season in a 59-58 come-from-behind victory. It was the first time this season, and first since Nov. 30, 2021, that two Huskies both recorded double-doubles in the same game.

Doherty followed it up with his second double-double of the season, good for a tie for eighth in the CAA, on Jan. 21 vs. No. 18 Charleston with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

3. DEEP BENCH
Northeastern's bench has outscored its opponent in 13 of the team's 19 games this season, including a season-high 49 points on Dec. 18 at UIC. The Huskies are 45th in the NCAA and third in the CAA averaging 25.63 bench points per game.
