Abigail Hassman and junior
Benjamin Godish earned CAA Women's Runner of the Week and CAA Men's Runner of the Week, respectively, after their efforts at the IC4A/ECAC Championships this past weekend.
HASSMAN
- Hassman broke her own school record in the 6K with a time of 20:39.1 at the IC4A/ECAC Championships Friday at Van Cortlandt Park.
- That time was good for first place over the field of 288 runners, her second win of the season, and led the Huskies to their fourth team title of the season.
- She helped Northeastern beat out No. 25 Syracuse and RV Harvard and the Huskies moved up to No. 3 in the USTFCCCA Northeast Regional Rankings.
GODISH
- Godish championed the men's race at the IC4A/ECAC Championships Friday at Van Cortlandt Park, running the 8K course in 23:55.7.
- His win pushed the Huskies to third place in a field of 36 teams and it was his second win this season after championing the Nassaney Invitational.
- He was in second place at the 2.3K and 5.5K mark before overtaking the leader and finishing first ahead of the field of 310 runners.
Godish, Hassman and the Huskies will head to the CAA Championships next week on Oct. 27 at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va.
