Megan Carter of the No. 13 Northeastern women's hockey team earned Hockey East Army ROTC Defender of the Week honors as announced on Monday.

Carter helped lead the Huskies to a split weekend against Holy Cross, including a 4-2 victory on Sunday. Carter's weekly honor is her first of the season from the league.

The Milton, Ontario native posted a career-high three assists in the 4-2 win over the Crusaders. Carter also tallied three blocks over two games against Holy Cross. She has six assists on the season, which is tied to lead all Hockey East defensemen.

Carter and the Huskies are back in action on Friday, Nov. 3 against Connecticut for their Barbie Land game at 6 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
