Northeastern Travels To UMass For Single Contest

BOSTON— The Northeastern men's hockey team is set to travel to Mullins Center to face the UMass Minutemen on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. The game will stream live on ESPN+.
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. SOUP FOR THE SOUL: Senior Alex Campbell is currently tied for fifth in the nation as an active career leader in game-winning goals (8). The 5-11 forward has recorded four points (2g, 2a) through the first four games of the season. Additionally, Campbell and graduate student Pito Walton lead the team with two power-play goals each.
  2. SOUP FOR THE SOUL: In Hockey East play, the Huskies boast the best faceoff win percentage in the league (56.6%). Sophomore Jack Williams has collected the most faceoff wins on the roster with 47, while graduate student Liam Walsh has recorded 24 wins on the year.

  3. WON'T WASTE A MINUTE: This week's game will mark the 105th matchup between the two programs. The Huskies hold an overall advantage over UMass Amherst with a 57-37-10 record. Against the Minutemen, since their freshman season, assistant captains Gunnarwolfe Fontaine and Matt DeMelis have made their way on the stat sheet. Fontaine leads with six points (1g, 5a) while DeMelis has recorded a goal.
